Connect Pro

This privacy policy is applicable to the Connect Pro app (hereinafter referred to as "Application") for mobile devices, which was developed by Transparent Horizons LLC, a Washington State company (hereinafter referred to as "Service Provider") as a Free service. This service is provided "AS IS".

Data Controller: Transparent Horizons LLC acts as the data controller for all information collected through the Application.

What information does the Application obtain and how is it used?

User Provided Information

The Application acquires the information you supply when you download and register the Application. Registration with the Service Provider is not mandatory. However, bear in mind that you might not be able to utilize some of the features offered by the Application unless you register with them.

The Service Provider may use the information you provided to contact you from time to time to provide you with important information and required notices related to the Application. We do not use your information for marketing purposes.

Legal Basis for Processing: We process your personal information based on your consent when you use the Application, and for our legitimate interests in operating, improving, and securing the Application.

Automatically Collected Information

In addition, the Application may collect certain information automatically, including, but not limited to, the type of mobile device you use, your mobile devices unique device ID, the IP address of your mobile device, your mobile operating system, the type of mobile Internet browsers you use, and information about the way you use the Application.

Purpose of Automatic Collection: This information is used for analytics purposes to understand how users interact with the Application, improve app performance, fix bugs, and enhance user experience. We also use this data to deliver relevant advertisements through AdMob.

Purpose Limitation: Your data will only be used for the purposes explicitly stated in this Privacy Policy. We do not use your data for any undisclosed purposes.

Does the Application collect precise real time location information of the device?

This Application does not gather precise information about the location of your mobile device.

Do third parties see and/or have access to information obtained by the Application?

Only aggregated, anonymized data is periodically transmitted to external services to aid the Service Provider in improving the Application and their service. The Service Provider may share your information with third parties in the ways that are described in this privacy statement.

Third-Party Services & Advertising

Please note that the Application utilizes third-party services that have their own Privacy Policy about handling data. Below are the links to the Privacy Policy of the third-party service providers used by the Application:

Opting Out of Personalized Ads: You can opt out of personalized advertising by adjusting your device settings. For Android devices, go to Settings > Google > Ads and enable "Opt out of Ads Personalization." For iOS devices, go to Settings > Privacy > Advertising and enable "Limit Ad Tracking."

The Service Provider may disclose User Provided and Automatically Collected Information:
  • as required by law, such as to comply with a subpoena, or similar legal process;
  • when they believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect their rights, protect your safety or the safety of others, investigate fraud, or respond to a government request;
  • with their trusted services providers who work on their behalf, do not have an independent use of the information we disclose to them, and have agreed to adhere to the rules set forth in this privacy statement;
  • in connection with, or during negotiations of, any merger, sale of company assets, financing, or acquisition of all or a portion of our business by another company (Business Transfers).
Automated Decision-Making and Profiling

The Application uses third-party advertising services (AdMob) that may engage in automated decision-making to display personalized advertisements based on your app usage patterns and device information. You can opt out of personalized advertising through your device settings as described above.

What are my opt-out rights?

You can halt all collection of information by the Application easily by uninstalling the Application. You may use the standard uninstall processes as may be available as part of your mobile device or via the mobile application marketplace or network.

Data Retention Policy, Managing Your Information

The Service Provider will retain User Provided data for as long as you use the Application and for a reasonable time thereafter (typically 30 days after account deletion or app uninstallation). The Service Provider will retain Automatically Collected information for up to 24 months and thereafter may store it in aggregate, anonymized form indefinitely for analytics purposes.

Requesting Data Deletion

If you'd like the Service Provider to delete User Provided Data that you have provided via the Application, please contact us at contact@transparenthorizons.com with "Data Deletion Request" in the subject line. We will respond within 30 days and complete the deletion within 45 days of verification. Please note that some or all of the User Provided Data may be required in order for the Application to function properly, and deletion may result in loss of access to certain features.

Data Portability

Upon request, we will provide you with a copy of your personal data in a commonly used, machine-readable format. To request your data, please email us at contact@transparenthorizons.com with "Data Export Request" in the subject line.

Children's Privacy

The Service Provider does not use the Application to knowingly solicit data from or market to children under the age of 13.

The Application does not address anyone under the age of 13. The Service Provider does not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13 years of age. In the case the Service Provider discover that a child under 13 has provided personal information, the Service Provider will immediately delete this from their servers. If you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that your child has provided us with personal information, please contact the Service Provider at contact@transparenthorizons.com so that they will be able to take the necessary actions.

Age Verification

We do not require age verification for the use of the Application. However, by using the Application, you represent and warrant that you are at least 13 years of age. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under 13, we will take steps to delete such information as quickly as possible.

Security

The Service Provider are concerned about safeguarding the confidentiality of your information. The Service Provider provide physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards to protect information we process and maintain. For example, we limit access to this information to authorized employees and contractors who need to know that information in order to operate, develop or improve their Application. Please be aware that, although we endeavor provide reasonable security for information we process and maintain, no security system can prevent all potential security breaches.

Data Breach Notification

In the event of a data breach that affects your personal information, we will notify affected users via email (if we have your email address) within 72 hours of becoming aware of the breach, where feasible. The notification will include the nature of the breach, the types of information involved, and steps you can take to protect yourself. We will also notify relevant authorities as required by applicable law.

Cookies and Tracking Technologies

The Application and its third-party service providers (including Unity, Firebase Analytics, and AdMob) use various tracking technologies to collect and store information when you use the Application. These technologies include:

  • Analytics Cookies: Firebase Analytics uses identifiers to track app usage, user engagement, and performance metrics.
  • Advertising Identifiers: AdMob uses your device's advertising ID to deliver personalized advertisements.
  • Session Data: The Application may store session data locally on your device to maintain your preferences and app state.
  • SDKs and APIs: Unity and other third-party software development kits may collect technical and usage data for their respective services.
Do Not Track Signals

Some web browsers and mobile devices have "Do Not Track" (DNT) features that send signals to websites and apps requesting not to be tracked. Currently, there is no industry standard for how to respond to DNT signals in mobile applications. The Application does not currently respond to DNT signals. However, you can opt out of personalized advertising through your device settings as described in the Advertising section above.

Third-Party Links and Services

The Application may contain links to third-party websites, services, or advertisements. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of these third parties. When you click on third-party links or interact with third-party services, you are subject to their respective privacy policies and terms of service. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third-party sites or services before providing them with your personal information.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time for any reason. The Service Provider will notify you of any material changes to the Privacy Policy by:

  • Updating this page with the new Privacy Policy
  • Updating the "Effective Date" at the top of this policy
  • For material changes, providing notice within the Application or via email (if we have your email address)

You are advised to consult this Privacy Policy regularly for any changes. Continued use of the Application after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Privacy Policy.

Your Consent

By using the Application, you are giving your consent to the Service Provider processing of your information as set forth in this Privacy Policy now and as amended by us. "Processing," means using cookies on a computer/hand held device or using or touching information in any way, including, but not limited to, collecting, storing, deleting, using, combining and disclosing information.

Your Privacy Rights

You have certain rights regarding your personal information. These include:

  • Right to Access: You may request a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
  • Right to Correction: You may request that we correct any inaccurate or incomplete personal information.
  • Right to Deletion: You may request that we delete your personal information, subject to certain exceptions (such as legal obligations or legitimate business purposes).
  • Right to Object: You may object to our processing of your personal information in certain circumstances.
  • Right to Restrict Processing: You may request that we limit how we use your personal information.
  • Right to Data Portability: You may request a copy of your data in a machine-readable format.
  • Right to Opt-Out: You can opt out of personalized advertising through your device settings as described above.
  • Right to Withdraw Consent: Where we rely on your consent to process your data, you may withdraw that consent at any time by uninstalling the Application or contacting us.
Exercising Your Rights

  • Respond to your request within 30 days of receipt
  • Verify your identity before processing your request to protect your privacy and security
  • Provide the requested information or action free of charge for your first request (we may charge a reasonable fee for excessive, repetitive, or manifestly unfounded requests)
  • Explain our reasons if we cannot fulfill your request

California Privacy Rights (CCPA)

If you are a California resident, you have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA):

  • Right to Know: You have the right to know what personal information we collect, use, disclose, and sell about you.
  • Right to Delete: You have the right to request deletion of your personal information, subject to certain exceptions.
  • Right to Opt-Out: While we do not sell personal information in the traditional sense, third-party advertising services may collect information for targeted advertising. You can opt out through device settings.
  • Right to Non-Discrimination: We will not discriminate against you for exercising your CCPA rights.

International Users and Data Transfers

The Application is operated from the United States. If you are accessing the Application from outside the United States, please be aware that your information may be transferred to, stored, and processed in the United States where our servers are located and our central database is operated.

By using the Application, you consent to the transfer of your information to the United States and acknowledge that the data protection and privacy laws of the United States may differ from those in your country of residence.

Data Storage and Processing

Your personal data is stored and processed in the following locations:

  • Primary Storage: United States-based servers (operated by Transparent Horizons LLC or our hosting providers)
  • Third-Party Services: Data may also be stored and processed by our third-party service providers (Google/Firebase, Unity) in various locations globally, subject to their respective privacy policies and data processing agreements
  • Local Device Storage: Certain data (such as app preferences and game progress) may be stored locally on your mobile device
European Union Users

If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), United Kingdom, or Switzerland, you have additional rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). While we do not specifically target EU users, if you choose to use our Application from the EU, we will process your data in accordance with applicable law. You have the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority if you believe we have not complied with applicable data protection laws.
